Managing Oracle Performance with Microsoft Analysis Services

The OraclePerformance Cube is a good example of OLAP in action.  It is used to manage Oracle RAC clusters.   All the data comes from the arcane AWR repository and is incrementally loaded into a Microsoft OLAP cube every 60 minutes.  The cube has over 18 dimensions (dozens of hierarchies) and 13 measure groups.  The cube can be continuously queried by any OLAP cube browser such as Excel PivotTable or http reports. View powerpoint.

Here is a taste of the information in this cube.
